Time flies when you're busy building things that actually work. June has arrived, and with it comes the perfect moment to pause, peek into the rearview mirror, and appreciate just how far we've come.
At Assurdly, the first half of 2025 has been a whirlwind of launches, learnings, late-night debugging (and possibly a few celebratory doughnuts). We've tackled complex builds, delivered seamless digital experiences, and proven yet again that great products are born from great people working together with purpose.
But this isn’t just a checkpoint, it’s a springboard. As we enter the second half of the year, we’re doubling down on our impact: strengthening partnerships, refining our processes, and continuing to ship clean, bug-free products that make a difference.
So, what have we been up to lately? Glad you asked.

Assurdly Goes Global at EuroSTAR 2025
When Africa speaks tech, the world listens, and this year, it happened on the EuroSTAR 2025 stage. At Europe’s largest software testing conference, our co-founder Unyime was spotlighted in an inspiring keynote titled “Africa’s Tech Growth: The Role of QA and Women Leaders” by Abiola Rasaq, founder of The Bug Detective.
In her feature, Unyime reflected on the challenges within the QA landscape, noting that a key hurdle is finding people genuinely interested in the role, seeing QA not just as a title but a mindset that shapes both work and life. She spoke on the evolving nature of QA with AI’s rise, stressing that continuous learning can double one’s effectiveness. Unyime also touched on geographical biases and the hurdles women face in leadership, emphasising the power of mastering one’s craft. Her insights highlighted a brand of leadership grounded in competence and a deep commitment to quality within Africa’s growing tech scene.
We’re proud, we’re inspired, and yes, we’re feeling very international right now!

Spotlight on Excellence: Assurdly Co-founder Shines at APQEC’25
We’re still buzzing with pride! Our co-founder and Managing Partner, Unyime, was a standout panelist at the Africa Product & Quality Engineering Conference 2025 (APQEC’25), during the Panel Discussion Among Women in Product Quality Engineering.
Unyime shared her perspective on leadership, emphasising that it extends beyond titles. She highlighted the importance of consistency, being hands-on, and excelling as a problem-solver. “Leading by being a problem solver always trumps it all,” she stated, noting that when people trust you to find solutions, it sets a strong tone. Her advice to women in tech underscored the power of continuous learning, “everything adds up over time”, and the significance of showing results to earn respect and command leadership. The discussion also resonated with themes of confidence, finding clarity through diligent work, speaking up, and fostering mutual support among women in the industry.

Tool of the Month🛠️
Imagine trying to understand a sprawling family tree by just reading names listed one after another. Confusing, right? Now imagine that same family tree laid out neatly, showing who's connected to whom. That's what JSON Grid does for your data.
JSON Grid is a powerful tool designed to transform raw, often unwieldy JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) data into an intuitive, spreadsheet-like grid format. It aims to make complex JSON structures easier to understand, analyse, and manage for anyone who regularly works with JSON files.
Key Features:
Grid View for JSON: Instantly view data in a clean, table-like format instead of scanning raw code.
Interactive Exploration: Expand or collapse sections for quick overviews or deeper inspection.
Search & Filter: Find exactly what you need without endless scrolling.
Seamless Import/Export: Import JSON with ease, and then export or copy your organised results for any purpose.
JSON Validation: Automatically checks and formats your data to keep it clean and error-free.

June is the New January: The Mid-Year Reset 📅
Because the first half was just the warm-up. Let’s be honest, some of those New Year’s resolutions didn’t even make it to February. But here’s the good news: June gives us a second chance. A cleaner slate. A mid-year reboot.
So here are five no-pressure, judgment-free ways to refresh your digital life:
Rename “New Folder (4)” 🗂️ - Give it a name that sparks joy. Or at least makes sense.
Close That One Tab 🧼 - You know the one. It’s been open since March. You’re not going to read it.
Marie Kondo Your Extensions 📦 - VS Code doesn’t need 32 add-ons to open a file.
Leave That Slack Channel 🔕 - If it only posts memes, your FOMO can survive without it.
Set One Realistic Goal for Q3 🎯 - Like “Don’t break production.” That’s aspirational and achievable.
June’s not just the sixth month, it’s the smarter January. Let’s make it count.
