The Internet Archive hit by DDoS attack ⚠
The internet archive, a non-profit digital library providing universal access to digitised materials and billions of archived materials, has been down following a DDoS attack and data breach. This attack which led to the theft of 31 million unique email addresses and usernames is still being contained, with updates being shared by the founder on the X platform.
Incidents like this and daily reports of tech outages are a reminder of the need to keep your software systems secure through secure coding and infrastructure implementation, as well as periodic security testing activities to identify and close vulnerabilities.
